Information on Bringing Animals into the US Virgin Islands from the US and Puerto Rico
Local and federal laws regulate the movement of animals into the US Virgin Islands. These regulations differ depending on the type of animal it is and where the animal originates. An import permit is required for all animals EXCEPT FOR DOGS AND CATS. Some species are not allowed to enter the US Virgin Islands such as snakes and monkeys. It is the responsibility of the owner to make sure all regulations have been met for permitted species. Click here for more information, broken down by species.
