VIDA Congratulates National Association of Conservation Districts-Southeast Region Conservation Hall of Fame Inductee-Dale Brown!

Promoting conservation and self-sustainability, Sejah Farms has become a leading example of how agriculture can provide for the Territory

St. Croix, USVI, July 26, 2022   Please join the VIDA in congratulating Mr. Dale Brown for being inducted in the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Southeast Region Conservation Hall of Fame at the NACD’s 2022 Summer Forum, in St. Croix, VI on July 13, 2022.  There, NACD President, Michael Crowder presented Dale Brown with the award and Positive T. A. Nelson, Commissioner, Department of Agriculture congratulated him.  President Crowder was also honored to speak about Dale Brown’s conservation practices and his contributions at the NACD’s 2022 Summer Meeting in San Juan, PR on July 18, 2022.


Sejah Farm of the Virgin Islands was established in 1998 and is owned and operated by Dale and Yvette Browne. They manage fifteen acres of farmland for livestock and crop production.  They are advocates for the development of our territory’s agriculture resurgence, environmentalists, and conservationists. It is their mission to produce the finest quality raised meats (lamb, goat, and chicken) and organic vegetables in the U.S. Virgin Islands to meet the local market demand.


The NACD Southeast Region Conservation Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have had a significant impact or influence on conservation practice and partnerships at the local, state, territory, regional, or national levels.  The NACD and VIDA is proud to congratulate Dale Brown on earning this award.
