Department of Agriculture to Hold Public Hemp Commission Meeting for Decision on Hemp Seed Distributor Permit

February 10, 2021, US Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture (VIDA) is informing the community of a Public Hemp Commission Meeting to be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 2:00 PM AST. There will be an executive session for the first half hour.

The media and the public are invited to attend.

The meeting is expected to be attended by Hemp Commission members from the Department of Agriculture (VIDA), Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA), UVI President, and Virgin Islands Farmers and Retailers of Hemp. The meeting will be held to review an application for Hemp Licensure that was submitted by Green Point Research, LLC, and decision will be made on the issuance of the Virgin Islands first Hemp Seed Distributor Permit.
